Welcome Alicia & Miriam! Could you tell us what you do on the team at Brüush?

Miriam:

I'm the VP of marketing and given the size of the business, this role is definitely all-encompassing. I work with our founder and executive team on setting the vision and strategy for the organization, as well as oversee the marketing and growth functions. As a part of that, I oversee all things, social, email, performance, search,  influencers and more.

Alicia:
I'm also a bit of a generalist, but my main focus is in planning and executing on our email calendar and campaigns flows. I’m also involved in defining our overall e-comm strategy, working super closely with our team to develop the customer journey on our site.

How do you split your time across the different e-commerce needs on the team?

It’s always moving. Sometimes it's simply a matter of tackling the priority for the week. That being said, the bulk of time and resources is spent on growth. And more specifically, it’s CRO and Price Testing which have been really top of mind.

As for retention, that’s slightly more on autopilot since we’re a 1 SKU business. But we are anticipating new products to come out in Q4. So we’re both ramping up efforts to lay the groundwork for that.

Would love to learn more about price testing: Are you using any good tools?

We're in conversation with a company called Intelligems. They specialize in price testing, discount testing and shipping testing. Internally, we’ve done the upfront strategy work, and they might come in to help with the execution of that.

What’s been one of the biggest unlocks over the past 6 months on Brüush?

Alicia:

One big unlock is definitely engaging with Storetasker and Logan who we currently work with. We're able to take a recent brand revamp and implement it across the site via little customizations and also optimize key customer flows.

Miriam:

On my end it’s been building out the team in the areas where we've needed the most support. Building out the growth team has been a massive unlocking for example.

Let’s jump to Storetasker: What's been your experience like so far?

Alicia:

Overall, it's been a great experience.

A lot of that has to do with the multiple resources that you offer. The fact that Storetasker has a community of devs with varying strengths really helps us because we work across many different technologies like Builder (headless) and ReCharge (subscription) - so having team members comfortable across the stack is really key.

Miriam:

For me, the biggest benefit that I felt from Storetasker, is engaging with very talented and honest people. Our Storetasker devs Satish and Logan really do feel like an extension of our team.

What’s on the horizon then at Brüush?

Price testing will have a big impact. And the launch of our new products will also dramatically impact every part of our business. Those are the 2 fun things we're looking forward to in the next 6 months.

Last question: What’s been the key to success so far on Brüush

Being a small but mighty team, while growing so rapidly - our biggest key to success has been collaboration and communication. Staying super organized and on top of these moving projects only happens with excellent communication. So I’d say that’s been our secret weapon.

Miriam, Alicia - thank you both so much for sharing your insights. Always here for you inside and outside of Storetasker. Go go go!!
