Back at it once again with another highlight of 4 friends of Storetasker!

As a heads up, you can find all of our friends listed here in the “Friends of Storetasker” directory. But for this time around we will specifically highlight 4 very different businesses that are obsessed with helping eCommerce merchants succeed: Highbeam, Weglot, Kno and Uptime

And before we dive in; just a quick word on Storetasker. We connect eCommerce merchants to the best freelancers the world of Shopify has to offer: Developers, designers, marketers. Find them all here on Storetasker.

Let’s begin with Highbeam

Highbeam just launched - they’re still in beta, but working with very reputable merchants such as Sabah and Branch. In a nutshell, Highbeam is a business bank. The key difference between them and any big name bank is that their entire experience is catered to eCommerce businesses.

You connect your Amazon store or Shopify account to Highbeam, and they start tracking your revenue (while giving you helpful data driven insights). Next, your costs start to get captured as you use your business credit card which comes with 2% cashback on all marketing spend (no fees whatsoever). After that, you get a perfectly clear P&L view of your business, in real time.

But it doesn’t stop here - Highbeam gives you lines of credit (not too dissimilar to Clearco or Wayflyer and others). The big advantage of these lines of credit is that you don’t need to pay interest on unused loans. That saves you a ton of money vs. the competition.

Next up: Weglot

Weglot translates your entire website in seconds - and I mean “all” of it: Third-party apps and plugins included). After that, your customers can toggle back and forth between different languages based on their preferences.

How does it do it so quickly? Well.. it’s automated. But don’t stress about possible imperfections in the translations, Weglot neatly stores all of your translations in one place so you or teammates can make any tweaks you like.

Now the final trick up Weglot’s sleeves is the multilingual SEO benefits. Should you wish your website to rank in different countries where users are searching in different languages - you can toggle that setting on inside Weglot. That takes care of all the annoying bits involved in creating an international store: Sub-domains for indexing + hreflang tags (notoriously difficult).

 Now - we have Kno

KnoCommerce gives you the survey tools you need to gain insight that drives better ROI. And it’s not just smoke and mirrors, this stuff really works, Kno is used by some of the most high performance eCommerce stores in the world: Olipop, Enso Rings, Crossnet & so many more.

The best thing about Kno is how simple / intuitive it is. Here’s a demo of what Kno looks like in action. All it is is a little survey added to your confirmation page which prompts the user to confirm what drove their purchase (Friends? Paid ad? Podcast? etc). By the way: These same surveys can also be deployed across email.

In short: In an era where paid attribution is increasingly difficult, Kno will help you gather the first party data necessary to make some key decisions about where to spend more resources and where to pull back investment. It’s a must-have for stores of any size.

Last but not least: Uptime

Uptime is a monitoring tool for Shopify stores. Use it by setting up custom workflows to continuously test parts of your site and your 3rd party apps. Flows can be things like: “Load product page - Add product to cart - Load cart page”, and the feedback on these flows are typically “yes/no” which allows you to consistently be on top of your performance.

It’s pretty genius:

Often, merchants assume their store is working perfectly fine and continue pumping money towards driving acquisition. But if the results aren’t there, they’ll be tempted to start running complex and expensive A/B tests to drive up Conversion Rate, or worse - they’ll fire their agency or person in charge of ads to increase ROAS.

But the results may not have anything to do with conversion rate or ROAS. It could simply be that a key feature (like the bundle builder) isn’t functioning properly. But since a business owner does not have the bandwidth to check whether or not a bundle builder is working - they may invest in unnecessary activities based on false signals.

Prevent any of that happening with automated monitoring - use Uptime.
