SIX ZERO PICKLEBALL NEEDED A DESIGN-FOCUSED SHOPIFY EXPERT TO REFRESH THEIR WEBSITE AND ALIGN IT WITH THEIR NEW BRAND IDENTITY
About Six Zero Pickleball: Six Zero is an Australian-born, family-run brand creating high-performance pickleball gear. They research, test, refine and perfect—building like engineers and thinking like athletes to deliver pro-level equipment for players who demand precision and quality.
The project: Six Zero Pickleball wanted to refresh their Motion theme-based website to align with new brand guidelines ahead of a major product launch, moving from a dark aesthetic to a clean, light design while extending product pages to showcase the engineering and technology behind their paddles.
We matched them with designers who understood both visual aesthetics and technical Shopify implementation, could work within existing theme structures while pushing creative boundaries, and had experience managing complex multi-store deployments.
The challenge was finding someone who could balance ambitious design vision with practical constraints—delivering a complete visual refresh that felt premium and modern while maintaining Motion theme functionality and meeting aggressive launch timelines across multiple international storefronts.
Six Zero Pickleball chose Co Tran, a Shopify designer with experience working with major brands like David Bowie and The Rolling Stones, who delivered a complete website redesign, extended product pages with custom technical showcase sections, and successfully migrated the new design across three regional stores.
Co created comprehensive design mockups that transformed Six Zero's brand presentation from dark and heavy to clean and elevated, incorporating inspiration from premium brands like Sonos, July, and Koala while maintaining Six Zero's distinctive identity.
THE WORK
- Complete visual redesign moving from black backgrounds to clean white aesthetic with strategic use of black sections
- Simplified navigation with improved mega menu structure and mobile optimization
- Extended product detail pages with custom sections for engineering features, technology callouts, comparison charts, FAQ accordions, and video reviews
- Custom "Paddle Guide" sections on collection pages with gradient backgrounds
- Homepage rebuild featuring product carousels, Six Zero Pro Team showcase, brand story sections, and dynamic hero banners
- Integration of custom product badges, labels, and variant selectors using Swatch King
- Mobile-first design approach ensuring optimal experience across all devices
- Custom notification bell system integration for customer updates
- Review widget styling and customization to match brand aesthetics
- Cart drawer redesign with improved user experience and Route insurance integration

Following the main site launch, Co successfully migrated the complete redesign to Six Zero's Canadian and US expansion stores, ensuring consistent brand experience across all markets while accommodating regional content differences.
The project was completed within the aggressive timeline, launching before the end-of-August product deadline, with ongoing design support established through a monthly retainer for continued homepage banners, marketing assets, and product launches.
