A Shopify Expert for Jambys

JAMBYS ASKED US FOR A SHOPIFY EXPERT TO MIGRATE THEM TO A NEW THEME AND SPEED UP THE SITE
About Jambys: Jambys is a comfort-first apparel brand known for ultra-soft loungewear and “inactivewear” — boxer-inspired shorts with pockets, cozy tees, and mix-and-match sets. The brand blends playful, gender-inclusive design with everyday practicality, building a community around chill, feel-good essentials.
The project: Jambys wanted to move to a faster theme (Horizon), unify product variants with combined listings and swatches, and clean up UX details ahead of peak season — without breaking URLs, tracking, or merch ops.
Theme Migration – Shopify Development – UX – Performance – A/B Infra
We introduced them to Richard, a senior Shopify developer. He set up a clean “develop → main” workflow, migrated the theme, and rebuilt key UX pieces natively (to avoid app bloat).
THE WORK
- Theme migration to Horizon with GitHub-based develop/main branches for safe deploys.
- Combined listings + native swatches (no extra app), including metaobjects for color logic and custom multi-color images.
- Typography & design system: hard-coded Sofia Pro, clarified heading hierarchy, and added desktop/mobile controls where Horizon lacked them.
- Navigation overhaul: flexible mega menu with custom content blocks; separate mobile/desktop menus; controllable quick links.
- PDP improvements: accordion system (Basics, Sizing, FAQs), model-sizing logic parsed from alt text, marquee/logo strip, review pull-quote, and cleaner variant labels (XS–XXL).
- PLP polish: swatches on product cards, sale/custom badge logic via metafields, text cropping fixes.
- Cart & promos: shipping progress bar (Intelligems), announcement bar slider with desktop/mobile typographic controls.
- Performance & ops: reduced reliance on Replo sections; guidance on keeping landing pages fast.

THE OUTCOME
Jambys went live within weeks with a snappier storefront, cleaner navigation, and scalable content controls — while preserving URLs and analytics. They began winding down redundant apps and set up a repeatable sprint model for ongoing improvements.
“Great to work with Richard once again. He is a great developer, but also great to work with on prioritizing the project and our time with him. We look forward to continuing to work together!”
— Andrew, JAMBYS
“We’ve got so much done in a short amount of time… swatches tied into combined listings, fast switching via section rendering, and a robust develop→main workflow for safe launches.”
— Richard, Storetasker Expert
